About this route
Rolling canal and farm gravel roads strike out from the Hartbeespoort Dam wall beneath the Magaliesberg toward Marikana and Beestekraal, lined with yellow cosmos in late-autumn April. A relaxed, fast-rolling gravel loop within easy reach of Joburg and Pretoria, ridden regularly by the Hartbeespoort Cycling Club.
