About this route
Gqeberha's flagship road race (The Herald Cycle Tour turned 40 in 2025). Circuit starting and finishing at Pollok Beach in Summerstrand: down Marine Drive, onto Beach Road and left into Walmer Boulevard, through the streets of Walmer up to Mount Pleasant, off Seaview Road to tackle the Longbarn Climb, the undulations of Old Seaview Road, rejoining Seaview Road eastward through Schoemakerskop, and back to the start/finish via Marine Drive. Public tar roads year-round; closed only on race day.
